Sheffield Malaysian Students Association (SMSA) is proud to invite fellow Malaysians to our annual Sheffield Malaysian Games, which is part of our exciting Weekend @ Sheffield programme. It will be held on the 14th of March 2009. Launched in 1992, this event gathered an enormous number of participants and supporters, mainly Malaysian students across the UK and Ireland, promoting good spirits within the Malaysian community in the UK.

The upcoming Sheffield Malaysian Games will be held in Concord Sports Centre, Sheffield. The centre itself has hosted many major sports event in Sheffield including the E.M.A. Open Championships. With the multi million pound development of Concord Sports Centre, it will have some of the best and most extensive sporting facilities in the UK.

In previous years, SMSA has organised a number of successful Sheffield Games, which received a huge response with The Right Worshipful Lord Mayor of Sheffield, Vice Chancellor of University of Sheffield, His Excellency Malaysian High Commissioner and Director of Malaysian Student Department making a presence during some of the previous events.

This year, we are expecting more participants and supporters to attend this highly anticipated event.  We are determined to have Sheffield Malaysian Games 2009 into another successful event as in years past. So, fellow friends out there, it is with great honour that we invite you to join us and experience this year’s Sheffield Malaysian Games!
