Located at the heart of the University Campus, the Union building has good accessibility by bus and tram but nearby parking is restricted. Because of the ongoing construction works, the entrance will be at east entrance.

How to get there?
By Tram
Trams link the railway station and the city centre directly to the University. The tram stop is located at the back of the railway station. Trams from the station to the University run on the Blue route (destination “Malin Bridge”).
Trams from the city centre to the University run on both the Blue route and the Yellow route (destination “Middlewood”).
During the day, trams run every 10 minutes (15 minutes on Sundays) from 6.00am to midnight. Union Building is best accessed by alighting at the University of Sheffield stop. The tram will cost you GBP1.20 per person from the train station.
From the tram stop, walk towards the Information Commons (the green building on your right). Continue walking along the pedestrian pathway on the right of the Information Commons for about 100 meter and The Union Building is on your left.
If you come in a group of 4 or 5 people, it is advisable to take the taxi straight to the event venue.
By Bus
Buses to the University are frequent and inexpensive. From the railway station and coach station you can take the number 60 directly to the University. Other buses from the city centre include the 51 and 52. Tell the driver to drop you at the Hicks Building bus stop. From the bus stop, the union is on your right.
By Taxi
There are taxi ranks at the railway station and beside the City Hall. The journey to the University should only take 5 minutes, but can take 15 minutes if traffic is heavy. Expect to pay about £5.
