Rules
1)Participants
> This competition is open to all students around UK.
> The expected groups of participant are:
Students from Malaysian societies/communities around UK
> Each participating team can have a maximum of 8 people. Solo performance is allowed.
> It’s a first come first serve place reservation to join this event- only 8 fast and lucky groups who registered first by 14th February 2010 can do so.
> During registration, each group should also send a photo of their group with the best outfit- so that they will be published their participation n our website officially.
> Each team is expected to perform their best performance in 7 minutes – (Strictly speaking due to our time constraints, no matter how many performances/songs as long as within 7 minutes time)
> All performances MUST reflect Nasheed Extravaganza 2009’s theme which “THE TRUE MEANING OF LOVE”. The message of the songs are freely open from humanity, nation, peace or praises of God. Anything that can bring positive values of people. We do need in this event something different, fresh, and unique.
> Love song except Allah and Muhammad s.a.w is strictly not allowed.
> The songs are open to all languages whether Malay, English, Arabic Spanish, German, Chinese, or etc.
> Participants are encouraged to create their own songs- there will be some bonus marks upon this as well.
> A slideshow showing the lyrics be prepared and sent at the latest one week before NEXT 2010.
2)Attire & Instruments
> Attire of participants should also included in our judgment. You need to be in appropriate and decent attire but creative or different-whether it represents your nationalities’ attire or etc.
> Minus one is allowed.
3) Judging criteria
> Performance
a) Song ( selection of songs that meet the theme) 20
b) Vocal 20
c) Singing technique 10
d) Presentation and creativity 40
e) Video/script supported 10
f) Attire 10
g) Bonus point/Credit from judge
(including own-produced songs/ uniqueness) 10
Total: 120
> Evaluation will be made by three professional judges
