BADMINTON

1. Men’s Singles (MS), (£6 per player)

• Basic rules of badminton apply.

• Preliminary matches will be played in standard group format, followed by quarter-final, semi-final and final stage.

• Champion of the group and the best 2nd place of the 3 groups will proceed to Semi Final Stage.

• For preliminary rounds, matches will be played in 1 set of 31 points. Change sides after any player reach 15 points. Player with the first to reach 31 points is the winner.

• For Knock-Out stage, matches will be played in 1 set of 31 points. Change sides after any player reach 15 points. Playing player with the first to reach 31 points is the winner.

EACH UNIVERSITY MUST PROVIDE AN UMPIRE AND LINESMEN.

• The umpire’s decision is final.

• Medal issued: 1st, 2nd, 3rd places winner

2. Men’s Doubles (MD), (£12 per pair)

• Basic rules of badminton apply.

• Preliminary matches will be played in standard group format, followed by semi-final and final stage.

• Champion of the group and the best 2nd place of the 3 groups will proceed to Semi Final Stage.

• For preliminary rounds, matches will be played in 1 set of 31 points. Change sides after any player reach 15 points. Player with the first to reach 31 points is the winner.

• Champion and Runner Up of each group will proceed to Semi Final Stage.

• For preliminary rounds, matches will be played in 1 set of 31 points. Change sides after any player reach 15 points. Player with the first to reach 31 points is the winner.

• Semi-finals and finals will be played in 1 set of 31 points. Change sides after any player reach 15 points. Player with the first to reach 31 points is the winner.
